Pakistan's energy mix is comprised of imported and locally producing energy sources. Primary energy supply is dominated by oil, and natural gas. Consumption showed strong strength post covid-19 due to reopening of economy in 2020. Share of renewable energy (including hydel) has seen significant increase in the energy-mix.

LNG

LNG continues to play a key role in energy mix as significant power production is dependent on it.

Oil

Crude oil's shares in power production continues to decline after 2017 , as efficient LNG-based plants are frequently run. 

Gas Production

Indegenious gas production continues to decline post 2017.
